My monitor doesn't display when my video card is inserted.?

i just bought a Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS and when i put it into the pci express slot, i turn my computer on and nothing shows up on my moniter it makes some noise but thats it. i have a AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core 5000+ with 3 gigs of ram and i even uninstalled the intergrated video card that i had and still nothing. is there anything i can do to fix it so i can get my video card to work and running?|||Did you install the drivers for the 7300GS before uninstalling the integrated graphics, also do you see the BIOS screen as it may be that you need to select in the BIOS to use the PCI-E graphics card instead of the onboard graphics.|||many time in slot is paper with warrancy (old video card ).look ! new video card is good in slot?|||hook you pc up to the integrated video and take out the new card. next turn on your pc and hit del. i hit it like 10 times because sometimes some pcs require you to hit it at the right time. if del doesnt work try esc,f1,f2,f11,f12 not all at once lol. the n poke around until you find something that will let you choose the video out put. it might say "auto" or "onboard". Change it to "pci express" or "pci exrpess x16". save and exit. then put your new card back in . that ill do er
